Write to a person. There is only one.
Klarrity is built by one person. There is no ticket queue and no bot: mail goes to the same inbox the code comes out of, and most answers arrive inside a day.
For anything about a card that came out wrong, send the source text if you still have it. It is the fastest thing to fix and the easiest to reproduce.

The three things people write in about.
Pro is $6.99 a month or $39.99 a year, bought through the App Store. There is no free trial, so nothing starts charging on its own.
Restoring a purchase
- 01Open Klarrity on the iPhone that has the subscription and go to Settings.
- 02Tap Restore purchases. The app asks StoreKit what the Apple Account signed in on this device owns, and turns Pro back on if it finds it.
- 03If nothing comes back, check that the device is signed in to the same Apple Account that bought the subscription — a restore can only find purchases made by that account.
- 04Still nothing? Write to hello@klarrity.app with the date of the purchase and the last four digits of the receipt's order id. Refunds are Apple's to give, not ours, and reportaproblem.apple.com is where they are asked for.
Cancelling Pro
- 01Open the iOS Settings app and tap your name at the top.
- 02Tap Subscriptions, then Klarrity, then Cancel Subscription.
- 03Pro stays on until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cards and decks made on Pro stay on the phone; the free tier keeps them.
Exporting a deck to Anki
- 01Open the deck in Klarrity and choose Export.
- 02Pick Anki (.apkg). The file lands wherever you send it — Files, AirDrop, or a mail to yourself.
- 03Open the .apkg in Anki on any platform: double-click it on the desktop, or open it from Files on an iPhone with AnkiMobile installed.
- 04The cards arrive with their source sentence in a second field, so nothing is lost on the way across.
Moving a deck to a new phone
There is no account, so there is nothing to sign into on the new phone. Two routes work: turn on iCloud backup on Pro before you switch, or export the deck as an Anki .apkg and bring it across yourself. An encrypted iPhone-to-iPhone transfer carries the app and its data over as well.
The absence of an account is the trade: nothing about what you study sits on a server, and nothing about what you study can be recovered from one.
A separate product, with a separate subscription.
The extension is billed through Stripe, not the App Store, and the two subscriptions know nothing about each other. Buying Pro in one does not turn on Pro in the other.
Cancelling web Pro
- 01Open the Klarrity extension and go to Settings.
- 02Choose Manage subscription. That opens the Stripe customer portal.
- 03Cancel there in one click. Pro stays on until the end of the period already paid for.
The three people arrive here for.
- What does Pro cost?
- $6.99 a month or $39.99 a year, bought through the App Store. There is no free trial: the price is the price, stated on the paywall, and nothing starts charging on its own. The free tier is what you try first, and it does not expire.
- Can I get my cards into Anki?
- Yes, on the free tier. Klarrity exports an Anki .apkg file you can open in Anki on any platform. Cards are yours to take with you; getting them out is never something you pay for.
- Is it the same thing as the Chrome extension?
- No. They are two products that happen to share a name and an idea. There is no shared account, no sync between them, and buying one does not buy the other. The extension works on a desktop browser; the app works on the phone, from the camera.
The other five — the free tier, accounts, how cards are made from a page, Pip at the door, and the readiness number — are answered on the app’s page. Not there either? Write to hello@klarrity.app. The privacy policy and the terms answer the rest.
